Zhenda State Hunting Area
The State Hunting Area Zhenda, situated on the picturesque slopes of the Eastern Rhodopes, is a true paradise for mouflon and nature enthusiasts.

Zhenda spans an area of 21,489 hectares, encompassing two forest complexes located in different mountain ranges. The terrain of the western complex is mountainous, with steep ridges and deep ravines, while the eastern complex features gentler, rounded elevations and a sparse network of valleys. The forests are home to diverse tree species, creating ideal conditions for a rich variety of flora and fauna.
Among the natural vegetation, beech, winter oak, Hungarian oak, and black pine stand out, along with cultivated species such as white pine, spruce, and red oak. The area is home to unique natural landmarks like the Kazal Chirpa Reserve and the Borovete Protected Area.
Hunting in Zhenda is diverse, with the main game species including red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, mouflon, and wild boar. Special attention is given to mouflons, with 10 gold medals awarded for trophies hunted in the Zhenda area. The collection of outstanding hunting achievements also includes five gold and silver medal trophies for wild boar, one gold and two bronze medals for fallow deer, and three bronze medals for red deer.
