Camping Gradina
Camping Gradina is located between two historic cities—Sozopol and Nessebar, both part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Gradina has gone through various stages in its development to become the modern campsite it is today.
In the first half of the 20th century, the vast beach was used as a sand quarry, but this activity ceased entirely in the 1950s.
Later, numerous vegetable and fruit gardens appeared in the area, which eventually inspired the campsite’s name.
Due to the favorable southern climate, beautiful landscapes, and expansive beach, Gradina became an attractive seaside retreat for people of all ages.
Gradually, tents began to appear, attracting more and more vacationers. Even then, Gradina gained a reputation as a campsite for bohemians and free-spirited souls seeking relaxation close to the sea and nature.
One of the first amenities built for visitors was a post office across from the entrance, allowing vacationers to send beautiful postcards to their loved ones.
In the 1980s, the first bungalows appeared. These were small white houses with pointed roofs, which the locals affectionately called “Baba Yagas.”
Today, the campsite retains its authentic bohemian and free-spirited character while providing all the necessary comforts for a peaceful time by the sea.
Hundreds of people escape their busy lives and come here for the whole summer because the freedom of Camping Gradina is uniquely rejuvenating.
