Gramatikovo State Hunting Area
Located in the Strandzha Mountain, the State Hunting Area Gramatikovo is situated about 95 km from Burgas Airport and 550 km from Sofia.
The area offers a balance between convenient access and a secluded forest environment.
The terrain of the hunting area is hilly and mountainous, reaching an elevation of 487 meters at Mount Telegarnik. The picturesque Veleka River adds to the breathtaking scenery. The total area of the Gramatikovo Hunting Area spans 31,038 hectares, with forest cover accounting for 21,071 hectares.
Amid the beautiful oak and beech forests, hunters can encounter a diverse and rich wildlife population. The area is home to red deer, wild boar, roe deer, wolf, fox, jackal, and wildcat. Particularly impressive are the red deer trophies, some of which have been awarded silver and bronze medals.
The hunting lodges Dudenovo, Kachul, and Petrova Polyana provide cozy and comfortable accommodations, ensuring an exceptional hunting experience. The area also offers exciting excursions and eco-tourism routes, as well as photo hunting and visits to cultural landmarks such as the Church of St. 40 Martyrs in Gramatikovo and the Holy Trinity Monastery.
