Kavatsite Beach
Kavatsite Beach is located about 3 km south of Sozopol, in the protected area of the same name.
The beach strip is about 2 km long and 100 meters wide, covered with fine, golden sand, and surrounded by a poplar forest. The seabed is flat and sandy.
The beach is supervised and offers umbrellas, sunbeds, a free zone, and bars. It is suitable for families, and various activities are available on-site.
The sand dunes in the area are declared a natural landmark. The rare Pontic white dunes and the characteristic sand-loving vegetation are protected.
The name of the area comes from the word “kavak,” which means poplar in Turkish.
