Sherba State Hunting Area
The State Hunting Area Sherba was established in 1934 and, along with Palamara, is one of the first hunting reserves in the country.
The reserve is located on the northern slopes of the Eastern Balkan Mountains, spanning an area of 13,500 hectares. Its terrain is mountainous, with predominantly deciduous forests.
The location of the hunting reserve was chosen with care. The natural environment and favorable climatic conditions in the area are key factors in the rich diversity of game, which boasts excellent trophy qualities.
The main game species in the area include red deer, fallow deer, wild boar, mouflon, wildcat, jackal, and fox. Small game species include woodcock and pheasant.
The advantages of Sherba are evidenced by its gold medals under CIC: Red deer: 239.77 points, Wild boar: 141.15 points, Mouflon: 217.00 points
The reserve offers two hunting lodges: Large Hunting Lodge with three apartments and three double rooms, Small Hunting Lodge with three double rooms.
In addition, Sherba Hunting Area offers eco-tourism, photo safaris, sport fishing, and visits to attractions in the Northern Black Sea region.
