Balchik State Hunting Area

The State Hunting Area Balchik, located in the southeastern part of the picturesque Dobrudzha region, is a unique destination offering a rich variety of game, stunning landscapes, and cozy accommodations for visitors.

Situated approximately 480 km from Sofia and just 45 km from the coastal city of Varna, the area provides numerous opportunities for unforgettable hunting adventures.

The territory is characterized by an average elevation of about 150 meters, mild winters, and sunny summers, with terrain ranging from flat to hilly. The State Hunting Area Balchik spans a total of 15,913 hectares, with the main portion located in the Batova River Valley.

These features create perfect conditions for a diverse array of game. The main species include red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, wild boar, and mouflon. Hunting for mouflon and fallow deer is primarily conducted in enclosed areas, ensuring a high likelihood of success.

For trophy hunting enthusiasts, Balchik is the place to be. It boasts a world record for red deer with a trophy weight of 19.1 kg. Other notable achievements include mouflons with horn lengths of 82 to 84 cm and wild boars with tusks measuring 24 to 26 cm.

In addition to big game hunting, visitors can enjoy hunting for migratory birds.

Guests are accommodated in two luxurious hunting lodges. One is situated directly on the seashore, while the other is nestled in the heart of the hunting area, surrounded by unique natural beauty.
