Kukeri Camping

Kukeri Camping is located about 27 km south of the city of Ruse, in the heart of Rusenski Lom Nature Park.

The campsite covers an area of 7,000 square meters and offers spots for caravans, campers, and tents.

The accommodation areas offer beautiful views of the Cherni Lom River and its scenic canyon with numerous cave openings and niches.

The location of Kukeri Camping serves as a starting point for various hiking and cycling routes leading to natural and cultural-historical landmarks within Rusenski Lom Nature Park—such as the Rock-Hewn Churches of Ivanovo from the 10th–14th century (UNESCO), the medieval town of Cherven, the villages of Tabachka and Bozhichen, the Nisovo Rock Monastery “St. St. Constantine and Helena” from the 11th century, the second longest cave in Bulgaria—Orlova Chuka, the rock monasteries that are part of the hesychastic complex along the Lom River, and many others.

The area offers opportunities for various nature activities, including birdwatching for rare and protected species.

It is important to note that most of the routes are within the Rusenski Lom Nature Park, where specific rules and restrictions apply, and these must be strictly followed.
