Alepu Beach (Driver’s Beach)
Alepu Beach is located about 6.5 km south of Sozopol. To the north, it borders Duni Beach.
The beach strip of Alepu is about 3 km long with a width of up to 70 meters, covered with fine, light marine sand. The sea water is clear and blue. Its dunes are part of the protected Ropotamo area.
The beach is also known as “Driver’s Beach” due to its proximity to the coastal road between Primorsko and Duni Beach.
The beach is unsupervised, has no facilities, and is popular among nudists. It is usually quite peaceful, without many people. It is one of the few remaining beaches untouched by construction and human intervention.
The name of the beach comes from its proximity to Alepu Swamp, which is home to many rare animal and plant species. In Greek, Alepu (Αλεπού) means “fox.”
