Chateau Polihronoff
Winery
Chateau Polychronovi is a small family winery producing limited quantities of wine from traditional grape varieties typical for the Bulgarian Black Sea region, such as Dimiat, Merlot, Varna Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc, and Traminer.
These wines are not available in the retail network but can be purchased only at the winery’s store (tasting room) or through the Chateau Polychronovi online shop. The quantity of each batch is no more than 800-1000 bottles per year.
Vineyards
Chateau Polychronovi has its own vineyards, from which it obtains raw materials for the production of both red and white wines.
Due to favorable natural conditions – maritime climate and a large number of sunny days—the grapes are distinguished by high sugar content and rich natural aromas.
Wine tours
The tasting room has a capacity of 50 seats. During the tasting, you will have the opportunity to learn about the production technology of different types of wines and to tour the cellar where the finished products are aged.
The tasting includes 6 wines, cheese, bread, and mineral water. It is led by the owners of Chateau Polychronovi, from whom you will have the chance to learn more about the characteristics of the wines being tasted, as well as interesting facts about the history of winemaking in the Byala region.
