Shabla Beach (Dobrudja Camping)
Shabla is the easternmost point of Bulgaria. The sun rises here about 20 minutes earlier than in Sofia. The beach starts north of the town and stretches to Ezerets Beach.
The beach strip is spacious and about 3.2 km long, covered with clean, golden sand mixed with numerous seashells washed ashore. Due to the currents in the area, the water is often cold and rough.
The spirit of the Northern Bulgarian Black Sea coast can be felt here, with endless horizons both towards the sea and inland.
The beach is unsupervised, with no umbrellas or sunbeds. There are a few bars nearby. It is preferred by visitors seeking peace and a connection with nature.
Nearby is the protected area of Shabla Lake, home to protected plant and animal species and important for birds that spend the winter here.
The oldest lighthouse on the Balkan Peninsula is also built in Shabla.
