Pochivka Beach
Pochivka Beach stretches from Trakata Beach in the north to Fourth Breakwater in the south.
The beach strip is very narrow and about 2.1 km long. Due to the specific features of the area and climatic influences, it has been shrinking over the years, with the sand in some places almost taken over by the sea.
The area is rocky, and small streams flow down from the densely forested slopes surrounding the beach.
The beach is unsupervised and does not have umbrellas, sunbeds, or bars. The northern part, accessible by a path, is mostly a nudist area. The southern part can be accessed by car.
It was at this spot in Varna that the celebration of the hippie festival “July Morning” began during socialism, as a symbolic act of resistance against the communist regime and a pursuit of freedom.
