Durankulak North Beach
Durankulak North Beach, also known as Sivriburun Beach and Ana-Maria Beach, is the northernmost beach in Bulgaria.
It is located northeast of Durankulak and extends to the state border with Romania at Cape Sivriburun.
The beach strip is about 4.2 km long and wide in its southern half, gradually rising from the sea towards the land in the form of dunes covered with sea plants and shrubs.
The sand is mixed with shells, rapana, and pebbles. Typical of the beaches in the area, the sea water is cold but crystal clear, becoming deep just a few meters from the shore.
The beach is unsupervised, does not offer umbrellas, sunbeds, or bars, and is rarely visited. It is preferred by visitors seeking peace and closeness to nature. The conditions in the area are excellent for water sports enthusiasts.
There is no developed infrastructure around the beach, and it is accessed via dirt roads suitable for high-clearance vehicles.
