Galata Beach
Galata is the smallest district of Varna, located about 7 km southeast of the city center.
Its name comes from an ancient district of Constantinople (present-day Istanbul).
The beach strip is about 1.2 km long, covered with coarse, clean sand. From the beach, there is an incredible panorama of the sea, whose waters in the area are clear.
To the south, the beach becomes increasingly rocky, forming natural small coves, making it a preferred spot for nudists and those seeking seclusion.
The beach is unsupervised and does not have umbrellas, sunbeds, or bars.
Despite its beauty and clean air, the beach is not popular among visitors due to its elevation.
To reach the beach, one must descend about 1,500 steps. The path is well-maintained and passes through a picturesque forest, but it is challenging for the elderly and children.
