Durankulak South Beach
Durankulak South Beach, also known as Kartaliy Beach and Buruna, stretches from Cape Kartaliy northward to Durankulak Lake and Krapets Beach.
The beach strip is spacious and about 4 km long, covered with clean sand. Typical of beaches in the area, the sea water is cold and unpredictable, and it is usually windy.
The enclosure of Durankulak Bay from the north and the concrete mooring for fishing boats often lead to it filling with seaweed.
The beach is unsupervised and does not offer umbrellas, sunbeds, or bars. It is preferred by visitors seeking peace and closeness to nature. The strong winds in the area are suitable for kite surfing enthusiasts.
Behind the beach are the Kartaliy Marsh and Durankulak Lake, which are connected by a man-made canal.
An asphalt road leads to Durankulak South Beach, and there are parking spaces available in the area.
