Second Breakwater Beach (Rapongi)
Second Breakwater Beach is part of Bunite Beach, also known as Rapongi, named after a restaurant located there.
It is situated between Third Breakwater Beach to the north and Officer’s Beach (First Breakwater) to the south, below the Zoo.
The beach strip is spacious and about 550 meters long, covered with golden sand. It is well-maintained and clean, making it a favorite spot for many visitors.
The breakwater protects the shore from strong waves, and the water is pleasant for swimming, although sometimes not crystal clear.
The beach is supervised and offers umbrellas, sunbeds, a free zone, and bars. It also provides facilities for various sports, such as beach volleyball.
Second Breakwater Beach is also notable for a natural phenomenon observed in winter. Due to a nearby hot mineral spring known as “Toplata Voda” (Warm Water), it becomes a wintering place for hundreds of swans coming from northern countries.
It is accessible both on foot and by car, with many parking spaces available in the area.
