History Museum – Silistra
Silistra is one of the first towns to set up their own museums in Bulgaria.
Paleontology Museum – Elena
The Museum of Paleontology in the town of Elena is situated under the roof of Popnikolova House – one of the oldest buildings in the town from the period of the Bulgarian National Revival (18th-19th century) and an architectural and construction cultural heritage of national importance.
Regional History Museum – Shumen
The history museum in Shumen was set up in 1857 when Sava Dobroplodni (1820 – 1894), from the Bulgarian Revival Period, organised the first expedition to the remains of the old Bulgarian capital Veliki Preslav (Great Preslav) together with students and when they exhibited their finds in the local school.
The Museum of the Kotel Awakening – Kotel
A point of interest in the city of Kotel is the exhibition dedicated to the Kotel Awakening in the building that also houses the Georgi Stoykov Rakovski Pantheon.
Rose Museum – Kazanlak
The only museum in the world, dedicated to the oil-yielding plant – rose, is situated in the town of Kazanlak.

Jewish History Museum of the Organization of the Bulgarian Jews “Shalom” has been operating in the Sofia Synagogue since 1992.
